Friday - North of Atlanta

Today had some shopping and sight-seeing and visiting.. pretty action-packed!

If there are factory outlets anywhere in a 200 mile radius, we seem to be able to find them! Thus, a few hours this morning were spent at the North Georgia Premium Outlets. I think I bought more than any one else - so I'm not going to complain.

After shopping we took our picnic lunch to Amicalola State Park - and had a great view while we ate. Liz packs a great lunch! There were some very nice waterfalls - and we drove to the top - just in time for the sky to open and four rain. It was over quickly however, so we were still able to walk around some and take in the sites.

We saw/stopped in some nice towns as we drove around - Dahlonega was pretty, and Barb was able to find an antique place in Gainesville. Ask Alan why he's able to "smell dead people"!!

Tomorrow I think we are seeing downtown Atlanta.
